Duinpark het Kustlicht

Countryside and architecture in harmony

Magnificent villas nestling in a dune landscape, almost invisible among the sand hills. In this unique coastal location, landscape and architecture are in perfect harmony.

All the styles (Zeeaster, Duinroos, Zeehond and Alk) offer an equal level of comfort and luxury. All villas have WiFi. The tasteful colour schemes and large picture windows bring the outdoors indoors, breathing life and freshness into the interior.

The park was designed so that none of the villas are overlooked, to give you complete peace and privacy.

The design of the villas reflects the character of the dune landscape. Duinpark Het Kustlicht offers luxury and comfort in tune with the coastal setting.

If you’re a fan of walking, cycling and swimming, you’ll love this area. And there are plenty of fascinating places to visit if you fancy a day out.

And why not discover the nearby village of Zoutelande? Wander through the winding streets. Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious meal.

Kreek and Duin

Residence Kreek & Duin

Situated in a unique location on the banks of a creek between the village of Westkapelle and the nature reserve, is the beautiful apartment complex Residence Kreek & Duin. Divided over three villas that follow the curve of the creek, you can choose from forty luxury apartments and ten generously-sized penthouses. The sumptuous villas offer a selection of apartments, all with spacious outdoor areas and dedicated parking.

Idyllic oasis behind the dunes
The Westkapelse Kreek was formed when the dike was breached, and evolved into a beautiful nature reserve with enchanting footpaths and horse-riding trails. Large areas nearby are set aside for woodlands and wildlife. As a transitional area between the coast and the polder, the Westkappelle Vroon nature reserve attracts many migratory birds throughout the breeding and migration seasons.

At one with nature
Residence Kreek & Duin was designed to give each apartment a view overlooking the inlet. Each unit is south-facing, with stunning vistas of the creek and surrounding nature. A haven of tranquillity and relaxation. Our spacious communal gardens – created to merge seamlessly with the Westkapelse Kreek nature reserve – add to this feeling of oneness with nature.

Relax in style
Flanked by gently undulating lawns, the luxury of the ground floor interiors continues into the exterior spaces, adding elegance and dimension. The expansive lawn runs from the exterior to the water’s edge, with a scattering of trees to create a sense of depth and a natural transition. The contoured terraces offer guests on the ground floor a sense of privacy.

Three villas
Residence Kreek & Duin is a development of three villas that traces the sweep of the creek. Thanks to the staggered design, each of the villa apartments has its own unique character. Each apartment has either a terrace or balcony cleverly positioned to make the most of the sun.

Joossesweg and Westkapelle

Friendliest North Sea resort

De Joossesweg is a little village close to Westkapelle, and just a short walk from the beach. De Joossesweg is a wonderful holiday location, with a variety of detached holiday bungalows to choose from. You also have the convenience of a nearby supermarket and restaurant.

Westkapelle is famous for its lighthouse, the "Hoge licht" or "Zuiderhoofd" (Westkapelle Hoog), which you see when you enter the town. In fact, this lighthouse is all that’s left of a Gothic church, which burned down in the 18th century. In the 19th century the tower was fitted with a beacon and turned into a lighthouse. Unlike most lighthouses, it’s situated on the inland side of the town, not on the coast. A second lighthouse, the ‘Iron Tower’ is located on the southern sea dike. Together, the lighthouses form a line of light to guide ships in the Oostgat towards the Westerschelde.

Another fascinating place to visit is the Westkappelse sea dike. Built of basalt rock, this five-kilometre wall in the sand dunes protects the island of Walcheren from the sea. Until the Delta Works were built, this incredible coastal defence structure was an icon of Dutch hydraulic engineering.
